News Letter
April 2025
Wow, What an amazing first month. Things have been happening so quickly. A special thank you to the pastors and churches that have had us in or promised to have us in while on deputation. I am beyond thankful to those that have committed to support us financially. There are also several individuals who have committed to support us as well. Thank you for your generosity.
After pastoring for 15 years, I had forgotten what it was like to be on the road. I am thankful that we have the privilege to ease into it, if you can call it that. The Lord has allowed us to schedule midweek services every week through June 1. We have only few dates left to fill in June. Please help us pray that God will continue to fill our calendar and give us churches that will partner with us financially.
We have a trip to Honduras planned for the middle of May. We are excited about getting to be there for these days and ask that you pray for us as we travel. Colson will be staying for at least a month after we leave, so please pray for him. I would also ask that you pray for us concerning support for him. He is 18 and will be heavily involved in the ministry. However, with all ministries comes the expenses. He will need some monthly income to help in his aspect of the ministry. These ministries include: helping the young preachers in the church with street preaching, passing out tracts, and helping to reach out into the villages in the area. It is difficult enough for me to relay the burden and ask churches to support us, not to mention him. While some understand the need, others do not. I need guidance from the Lord on when and how to approach this at churches.
This transition in our life has come with a mixture of emotions. We are excited to pursue the call of God to minister in Honduras and yet sad to leave the people and place we have pastored for so long. There is a joy that comes with being obedient to the Lord and yet a sense of nervousness in not knowing how God will accomplish all that needs to be done. What I do know is that where God sends, God supplies. I have been reminded of the days of my youth when I was willing to follow the Lord with no seeming care for the necessities of this world. Complacency is a silent killer amongst most Christians. I didn’t realize how complacent and dependent upon the repetition of serving in the church I had become. I often wonder how am I going to make it, how will I be sure my family is taken care of, how am I … then I remember as the song writer said, “He’s never failed me, He won’t start today, He will make a way.” Praise God!!! When I can’t, He can.
Please continue to pray for us. Pray that God will make our deputation time successful and relatively short. We are hoping to get to work in Honduras as quickly as feasibly possible in accordance with the will of God.
